This privacy policy explains how DS Plumbers (“we”, “us”) handles the personal information you give us when you contact us through this website.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry using the form on our website, we collect:
- your name
- your phone number
- your email address (if you choose to give it)
- your postcode
- details of your plumbing issue, including the type of issue, how urgent it is and the best time to contact you
- any photos you choose to upload
If you call or email us directly, we will have your phone number or email address and anything you tell us about the job.
How we use it
We use this information only to respond to your enquiry: to contact you, understand the problem, give you a quote and arrange any work you ask us to do. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not sell or share it with anyone else, except where we are required to by law.
Our legal basis for using your information is that you have asked us to respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to carry out the work.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to any work are deleted within 12 months. If we carry out work for you, we keep the details of that job for as long as we need them for our business and accounting records, usually up to 6 years.
How your information is stored
Enquiries are sent to our business email inbox and a copy is stored securely on our website so that nothing gets lost. Spam protection on the form works without collecting any extra personal information from you.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time. To do this, email enquiries@dsplumbers.co.uk and we will deal with your request promptly.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
